Lemon Juice as a Natural Weed Killer

When applied directly onto the plant, it dries out the weeds and causes them to die off, making it a perfect solution for patios, driveways, and gravelled spaces.
To make your own, you will need the juice of five lemons. If that seems too laborious, bottled lemon juice is a suitable alternative. Simply transfer the juice into a spray bottle and aim at your weeds. Ensure you use it on a dry day, as rainfall could rinse it away.
Salt Solution for Hard Surfaces
Gardeners' World recommends using a salt mixture exclusively on unwanted vegetation growing on hard surfaces to avoid harming healthy soil. The formula is simple: mix one part table salt with two to three parts water. Be sure to use ordinary table salt rather than rock, sea, or Epsom salts. Referred to as cheap and easy, the saline solution will effectively eradicate weeds for good.
