The programme begins on June 29 with a popular pond dipping session, where participants can discover the fascinating creatures living beneath the water’s surface. Young nature enthusiasts can also join a bug hunting adventure on July 10, exploring woodland habitats and learning about the tiny creatures that play a vital role in the ecosystem.

Creative activities feature throughout the summer, including nature painting on July 5, flower arranging on July 17, and bird house painting on July 29. Families can also get inspired by the woodland around them during the tree identification, seed and leaf printing workshop on July 20.

Practical Skills and Building

For those keen to learn practical outdoor skills, fire skills on July 15 will introduce participants to safe fire-lighting techniques and bushcraft basics. Meanwhile, budding builders can join the den and bug hotel building session on August 1, creating shelters for both themselves and local wildlife.

Adding a touch of woodland magic, children are invited to welcome fairies to the woods on July 25, a creative and imaginative event celebrating the wonder of nature.

Final Session

The summer programme concludes with another opportunity to experience the hidden world of aquatic wildlife during a second pond dipping session on August 3.
