Dog River Seeks Forever Home After 340 Days at SPCA

Sweet dog River has been at Lanarkshire's animal rescue centre for over 300 days. She is now searching for a second chance at happiness with the Scottish SPCA.

This loving pooch is looking for a new home after being at Hamilton's animal rescue centre for over 300 days. American bulldog River has become a long-term resident at the Scottish SPCA's base on Bothwell Road centre and is searching for a second chance at happiness.

The animal rescue charity is asking people to consider adopting or fostering a furry companion. By choosing to adopt and not shop, they say you are helping to support the work of the Scottish SPCA in its mission to make Scotland the best place in the world for an animal to call home. You are also helping to give a dog another chance at a better life.

River has been at the centre for 340 days and is desperately seeking a fresh start in life. A spokesperson for the SPCA said: “This three-year-old American Bulldog is full of love and affection and is looking for a calm adult-only home where she is the only pet. Out her kennel, she can become a bit worried but will soon begin to interact and show off her playful personality. River’s new owner will need to continue with her socialisation with other dogs as she can become quite vocal but she has made great progress.”
