A farm just outside of Edinburgh has been named the best family experience in Scotland this summer. The attraction, located around a 30-minute drive from the city centre, allows visitors to see the produce grown in its fields and pick their own fruit.

As reported by the Daily Record, the winners of the 2026 Muddy Awards were revealed on Wednesday, June 17. The awards, organized by online lifestyle guide Muddy Stilettos, celebrate top businesses and individuals across Scotland in various categories.

Among the winners was Craigies Farm near Queensferry, which took home the title of best family experience in Scotland. The farm hosts animal shows with its farmers throughout the week, while its Little Farmers play barn is designed for toddlers and young children.

Farm Café and Seasonal Menu

Craigies Farm is also home to a café open daily from 9am, serving fresh and seasonal food grown on the farm, with hot meals available until 4pm. The menu includes full fry-ups, breakfast rolls, homemade pancakes with farm fresh toppings, flatbreads, and burgers.

Additionally, the farm hosts a variety of events throughout the year appealing to all ages, such as pick-your-own fruit sessions, jam classes, Halloween activities, pumpkin picking in autumn, and a Santa experience at Christmas.

On July 18, the farm will host a Summer Fruit Festival in its fruit fields, featuring live music, family entertainment, and farm experiences. There will be food and drink options, farm rides, photo opportunities, face painting, and more.
