Clive Owen Discusses Farm Future And Family Decisions

Our Yorkshire Farm star Clive Owen has opened up about his future managing the farm and who will eventually take over after his retirement. The 70-year-old made the revelation during last night's episode of Our Farm Next Door.

“It is a young fellas' game,” Clive told the camera. “I am almost 70 now, so I have got to think about what comes next. It is something the family are discussing at the moment to see where the future lies for everyone.” He added with a laugh, “It is nice for me to pass on my shears.”

Clive also provided an update on shearing: “We are just beginning to shear sheep. I think Amanda is going to shear and Milo a bit later, and I am not if I can avoid it.” Offering a glimpse into his relationship with ex-wife Amanda, he said, “Me and Amanda, for some crazy reason, it has worked out alright. We are not together, but we can keep things going to suit everybody, and that is what we intend to do.” Amanda added, “Things are good, and I think being busy plays a huge part in keeping everybody's focus.”

During the episode, son Miles also revealed his future aspirations, saying he wanted to pursue something “to do with agriculture”. He said, “I am the eldest here now on the farm, so now, a lot of the pressure is on me, you could say, but it is just one of those things. I hadn't thought about the future and what I'd wanna do that far yet, but definitely something with agriculture. But there is a lot more agriculture in the world than just hill farms.”

Meanwhile, the family celebrated Nancy's ninth birthday, leaving viewers stunned by how mature she appeared. One fan commented: “I am enjoying the second part of the series, can't believe how tall and different the girls look.” Another remarked: “Lovely photo, how time flies.”
