Charity Support

Alongside providing a fun day out for local families, the event also raised funds for Cumnock & District Blind Club, helping to support individuals living with sight loss within the local area. The event was made possible through the support of fellow local businesses, volunteers, patients, and members of the wider community, all of whom helped to create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.

Community Spirit

Linda Dempsey, Clinical Director at Shaw Eyecare, said: “The event was our way of saying thank you to the community that has continued to support us over the years. We wanted to create something that brought people together, gave families the opportunity to enjoy themselves, and at the same time raised money for a fantastic local organisation.

“Community has always been at the heart of everything we do at Shaw Eyecare. We care deeply about our patients and wanted to show that we’re committed not only to providing excellent eye care, but also to supporting the people and organisations that make Cumnock such a special place to live and work.

“It was lovely to see so many other businesses in the area come together and get involved. We’re really grateful to be part of such a close-knit and supportive community of amazing people.”

The team at Shaw Eyecare would like to thank everyone who attended, donated prizes, volunteered their time, and contributed to the success of the day.
