The Summer Games, an adult sports day hosted by The BBQ Presents, took place on July 12 at St Dunstan's Jubilee Ground in London. The event featured tug of war, sack races, and a short sprint, along with food from Jerk Shac and Unique Flavours, and drinks from KA Drinks, LDN Sip, and CND Drinks.

One attendee, Joshua Whorms, participated in the men's short sprint for a £100 cash prize, though he finished far from a medal. He described the event as 'immaculate food, great music and an incredible afternoon' and noted it inspired him to start running again.
Fundraising for MS
The event aimed to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a neurological condition affecting the brain and spinal cord. Founder Myles Dunbar, who lives with MS, said success was 'directly tied to supporting the cause and raising awareness.' He added, 'If people left having enjoyed themselves while also learning something about MS... then the event had already achieved something much bigger than entertainment.'
Dunbar, a 32-year-old digital project manager from Catford, started The BBQ in his grandfather's back garden in 2017. He partnered with the MS Society to make the day meaningful. 'Living with Multiple Sclerosis means I understand first-hand the challenges... so being able to use our platform to raise awareness while creating a positive experience for everyone there meant everything,' he said.
