Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor has left her legion of fans utterly astonished after showcasing a remarkably fresh-faced and youthful appearance on social media.
A Soap Icon's Timeless Appearance
The actress, who is 62 years old and has played Sally Metcalfe on the ITV soap since 1986, recently marked an incredible 40 years on the famous cobbles. Known for her involvement in major storylines, from a harrowing cancer battle to numerous romantic entanglements, Dynevor is a bona fide soap icon.
This week, however, the conversation shifted from her on-screen drama to her off-screen radiance. On Tuesday, January 13, her celebrity facialist, William Foley, shared a joint post to Dynevor's Instagram account that sent fans into a frenzy.
The Secret Behind the Glow
The uploaded photo featured a beaming, fresh-faced Sally alongside Foley. In a detailed caption, Foley revealed he has been caring for Dynevor's skin health for over three years, advocating for a gentle and consistent approach rather than quick fixes.
"Our approach has always been well considered. Gentle. Consistent. Intelligent," Foley wrote. "Rather than chasing trends or aggressive interventions, we focus on supporting the skin barrier, calming inflammation, working with the skin's natural rhythms and prioritising longevity over instant change."
He emphasised that great skin is nurtured over time through "trust, restraint, and listening to what the skin actually needs." When curious fans directly asked about specific procedures, Foley confirmed that Sally does undergo microneedling treatments with him.
Fans React and the Expert's Methodology
The response in the comments section was swift and unanimous, with followers showering the star with compliments. One admirer exclaimed, "Sally your skin looks amazing," while another declared, "She looks about 25!"
William Foley, originally from Burnley, had previously explained his methodology to the Manchester Evening News back in 2024. He detailed a treatment called EMlift, which restimulates facial muscles for a natural lift, particularly beneficial for those avoiding injectables.
"She always says, 'I want to look fresh. I want to look like me, but I just want to look fresh'," Foley shared, outlining their annual goals to reduce pigmentation, enhance skin glow, and improve firmness.
Coronation Street continues to air Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
