Pregnant former tennis sensation Anna Kournikova has been pictured juggling the school run with a major Starbucks coffee mission in Miami. The 44-year-old, who is expecting her fourth child with singer husband Enrique Iglesias, was seen managing the morning school drop-off for her three children.
A Busy Morning for the Growing Family
Anna Kournikova was photographed rushing back to her luxury car, a $105,000 Porsche Macan Turbo, carrying an array of colourful drinks. She opted for a practical outfit of black baggy sportswear, which helped to conceal her baby bump. This is a style the former athlete has favoured since her pregnancy was confirmed back in September.
The couple, who largely shun the spotlight, are already parents to seven-year-old twins, Nicholas and Lucy, born in September 2017, and a five-year-old daughter, Mary, born three years later. The news of another addition to their family sparked significant interest in the notoriously private pair.
From Tennis Courts to Family Life
Kournikova's pregnancy announcement two months ago came after concerns were raised for her health at the start of the year. In January, she was pictured in a wheelchair, seemingly having sustained a lower leg injury with a protective boot covering her right leg from the knee down.
This was particularly worrying given that her professional tennis career was ultimately cut short by a succession of injuries, including stress fractures in her foot. She retired from the sport at just 21 years old in 2003, never having officially confirmed her retirement.
Despite her early retirement, Kournikova left a mark on the sport. She was a thrilling prospect after turning professional at only 14 and rose as high as eighth in the world rankings. While she never clinched a Grand Slam singles title, she found great success in doubles alongside Martina Hingis, winning the Australian Open doubles championship in both 1999 and 2002.
A Lasting Partnership On and Off the Court
Kournikova's path first crossed with her now-husband, the 50-year-old Enrique Iglesias, on the set of his music video for the 2001 single 'Escape'. While Iglesias has continued to perform for adoring fans on tour, glimpses of Kournikova have become increasingly rare as they focus on raising their young family in Florida.
Even Iglesias has been keeping a lower profile recently. A source told People in October that while he loves his fans, being a dad is very important to him. The source added, "Anna and Enrique are very happy to become parents again. They have proven to be great parents to their three children, and both of them love the process. They enjoy the activities and all that goes along with raising children."
