Nicola Peltz, wife of Brooklyn Beckham, appeared to reference the ongoing rift with his family by sharing a cryptic quote about forgiveness on her Instagram Story. The post read: "I am in love with this sentence: 'Forgive yourself for not knowing earlier what only time could teach.'"
Father's Day Posts Spark Anger
The quote comes after Brooklyn reportedly became "furious" with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, for posting tributes to him on Father's Day despite his requests to be left alone. David, 51, shared a childhood photo of Brooklyn on Instagram, writing: "Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family." Victoria, 50, posted a family photo with the caption: "David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father's Day."
Brooklyn's Reported Requests Ignored
According to sources, the 27-year-old aspiring chef has asked his parents to only contact him through his lawyer and to refrain from tagging him on social media. An insider told The Sun: "He's fuming about it. He's asked them to leave him alone and they just keep posting him. It just brings the whole thing up all over again. He wishes they'd leave it and leave him alone." Brooklyn has blocked his entire family online but reportedly saw the posts through media reports and those close to him.
Previous Fallout and Public Statements
The family feud escalated in January when Brooklyn issued a blistering multi-page statement accusing his parents of being "controlling" and trying to "ruin" his marriage to Nicola Peltz, 31. He claimed relations soured around his 2022 wedding, alleging Victoria pulled out of making Peltz's wedding dress at the last minute and danced "inappropriately on him" at the reception. He also criticized David for ignoring requests to meet before his 50th birthday party, then offering a meeting on the condition that Nicola not attend.
Brooklyn's DoorDash Commercial Mocked Feud
In a recent DoorDash commercial, Brooklyn appeared to mock the family rift, saying: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It's not like I don't have tickets. Um… it's because… it's a long story." Fans called the ad "distasteful," and sources claimed his parents were "inconsolable" and "shocked" that he would treat their issues as a joke.
