Clarkson devastated as fox kills last guinea fowl

Jeremy Clarkson was left devastated after his last remaining guinea fowl was killed by a fox. Returning to screens in season five of Clarkson's Farm, the TV star became visibly upset after making the heartbreaking discovery.

Heartbreaking Discovery

"The following morning, I started the day by checking in on our one remaining guinea fowl," Clarkson said as he walked around the farm. "This is just beyond belief," he sighed suddenly, after realising what had happened. "He's had the lot," the presenter fumed, before admitting that he only had time "to seethe, not mourn."

A History of Emotional Moments

Clarkson, who launched season one of Clarkson's Farm in 2021, has always been honest about the ups and downs of running a farm, and it's not the first time he's been emotional about his animals on the show. Just last week, fans felt for the former Top Gear presenter after he was forced to send his pigs to the abattoir.

"I had known there was only one option," Clarkson told land agent Mr Ireland. "I love the pigs, I have absolutely... I have just been delighted every day I'm down there. They make my heart sing, I'm so happy. But we are running a business here, and they make no financial sense at all."

"It was even harder to say goodbye to the next group," Clarkson noted, revealing that the other batch included one of the original sows they had bought three years earlier. Clearly overwhelmed by the situation, Clarkson broke down in tears while his partner, Lisa Hogan, comforted him.

A Glimmer of Hope

Clarkson may have been gutted to send the majority of the pigs to the abattoir; it was later clarified that two of them, Clumsy and Swizz, had been sent to live on an educational farm instead. "I couldn't really have handled it if they'd gone off to be eaten," he confessed.
