Bono's Daughters Eve & Jordan Hewson Shine at GQ Men Of The Year Awards
Bono's Daughters Stun at GQ Men Of The Year Awards

The glittering GQ Men Of The Year Awards in London played host to a stylish sisters' act on Tuesday, as Eve and Jordan Hewson, the daughters of U2 frontman Bono and his wife Ali, made a stunning appearance on the red carpet.

A Night of Glamour on the Thames

Held at the prestigious 180 The Strand venue, the event saw the Hewson sisters commanding attention with their sartorial choices. Eve Hewson, the 34-year-old Bad Sisters actress, exuded old Hollywood glamour in a sophisticated, figure-hugging beige midi dress, which she paired with elegant clear heels. For the cooler evening air, she draped a luxurious brown faux fur coat over her shoulders and wore her brunette hair down in loose waves.

Her elder sister, Jordan Hewson, 36, opted for a bold and modern look. The businesswoman, who is Bono's firstborn child, wore a striking black strapless dress featuring a plunging neckline and a sheer panel detail along the front. She completed her ensemble with a classic pair of black high heels.

More Than Famous Surnames: Careers and Family

While their famous parentage often places them in the spotlight, both sisters have forged their own successful paths. Eve's acting career continues to flourish; her latest film, 'Jay Kelly,' was released on November 14 and boasts an incredible cast including Adam Sandler, George Clooney, and Laura Dern. The film follows a movie star and his manager on a transformative journey across Europe.

The sisters are part of a close-knit family. Bono and Ali, married since 1982, are also parents to two sons, Elijah, 26, and John, 24. Eve has fondly recalled growing up in a creative Dublin household 'filled with conversations about film and music and poetry and literature', which inevitably steered her towards acting, a profession she says was 'the only thing I was any good at'.

Addressing the 'Nepo Baby' Narrative

Eve has confronted the inevitable 'nepo baby' criticism that follows children of celebrities. She has previously shrugged off the labels, defending her rise in the industry, which has since seen her land high-profile roles and act alongside stars like Nicole Kidman.

Speaking to Porter Magazine, she shared her pragmatic approach to the talk, stating, 'The only thing you can do is crack a joke and move on.' Her passion for performance was evident from a young age, though she initially dreamed of a music career, laughing, 'I thought I was going to be Charli XCX.'

Despite now living in LA, family remains a central pillar in her life. During the pandemic, the Hewsons reunited in Dublin, marking the first time in years they had all lived under one roof. Eve revealed they would often end up in the studio at the end of her parents' garden, 'in the middle of the night, writing stupid songs.' In a humorous family anecdote, she admitted, 'I actually got kicked out of the family band for being too enthusiastic,' noting that her famous father was never part of these late-night sessions, as 'He was asleep by 10pm every night.'
