Ben Shephard has confirmed that filming for the upcoming series of Tipping Point is underway, sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram.
Behind-the-scenes update
The 51-year-old presenter reshared a video to his Instagram stories showing him in front of the Tipping Point machine holding two coins. He wrote alongside the brief footage: "Another day at the office."
Shephard, who has hosted Tipping Point since 2012, is currently on a summer break from This Morning, where he co-hosts alongside Cat Deeley. Viewers have seen a rotation of familiar faces fronting the programme, including Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Paddy McGuinness and Andi Peters.
Previous announcement
In June, before his break from This Morning, Shephard shared a video informing people that applications were open to take part in the show. He wrote: "Strap in, people!!! We're back, baby. We are filming a brand new series of Tipping Point this summer. If you'd like to take on our Machine of Dreams (or nightmares), go to www.tippingpointtv.co.uk and send in your applications."
He added: "I promise you'll love it nearly as much as I love a Boomerang Drop!!! Come and have a go if you think you're smart enough."
Fan reactions and episode count
Fans responded positively to the announcement. One person commented: "Wooooohooooo!! LET'S GO!!" Another wrote: "Do it! I filmed in 2023, which was only shown recently, but it was really good fun, and I won the 10K jackpot-Ooh La La!" A third said: "Tipping Point is the best quiz show. Only the original Bullseye beats it !!!"
When asked about a lucky stars series, Shephard replied that there are no plans at the moment, but revealed there are 70 episodes in this new series. This Morning and Tipping Point are both available to watch on ITVX.
