The Weasley family has reunited for a very special occasion. Actors James and Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, and Mark Williams, who portrayed Fred, George, Ginny, and Arthur Weasley respectively, gathered at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London to commemorate 25 years since the release of the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
A Magical Reunion
Oliver Phelps, now 40, expressed his joy at being back on set with his former co-stars. "Being back on the set reunited with Bonnie and Mark has been absolutely superb – it’s like coming into a time warp, like no time has passed at all since we were last together," he said. The group revisited iconic locations such as The Burrow and Platform 9 ¾, sharing memories from their time filming the beloved series.
New Summer Feature Announced
The reunion also marked the launch of a new summer feature titled "First Year At Hogwarts – Where The Filmmaking Magic Began" at the Watford-based studios. This exhibition offers fans the chance to relive moments from the first film on authentic sets. It will run from May 7 to September 7, 2026, with all new additions included in the ticket price.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was a monumental success, breaking the record for the highest-opening weekend ever and becoming the highest-grossing film of 2001. It earned $974 million at the box office worldwide during its initial run and has since grossed over $1 billion.
Fan Favourite Moments
When asked to rank their top three favourite scenes from the film, fans voted Harry Potter meeting the Weasleys on the way to Platform 9 ¾ as their third most-loved moment. Mark Williams, who played Arthur Weasley, shared his delight at returning to the wizarding world. "I love coming back to the wizarding world, and the new summer feature is a real delight. It was an enormous part of our experience filming the Harry Potter film series - to be involved with the amazing work of the design department. To be reminded of that has made my day," he said.
The Weasley family reunion has been a heartwarming event for fans and cast alike, celebrating a quarter-century of magic and memories.
