Two stars of The Traitors have revealed who they would love to see take on the role of a Celebrity Traitor, with Ross Kemp emerging as their top pick for the iconic turret.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, series four contestants Ellie Buckley and Ross Garshong shared their thoughts on the new Celebrity Traitors lineup and offered their own dream casting choices.
Ross Kemp Would Take the Role Seriously
When asked about the new Celebrity Traitors and whether anyone else would have been a better choice, Ellie Buckley said: "Before seeing the show, I was definitely thinking we were going to see Rob or Romesh be one of them."
She added: "We've got James Acaster now, which is great because I wanted to see a comedian in the turret, because those scenes can be so funny, and you need someone to bring that levity to the situation."
Her partner Ross Garshong, who also appeared in the same series, said: "I would definitely have wanted to see Ross Kemp," with Ellie agreeing: "Ross Kemp as a Traitor would be hilarious!"
Traitors Need to Be Perfect
Ellie continued: "He would take it really seriously."
Ross responded: "That's the fun thing about it because we think you need to be perfect as a Traitor, but actually, especially when watching it back, you're like: 'Oh my god, I got away with murder'."
Ellie also commented on the current series, saying: "I'm also enjoying Maya. If Richard hadn't have shot himself in the foot, this would have been so fun. The recruitment would have been going through it, and there would have been a bit more mystery."
Ellie and Ross spoke to Daily Star on behalf of Buzz Bingo. The Celebrity Traitors airs Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm on BBC One.
