Traitors star says show left him suspicious of everyone

Former Traitors contestant Andrew Jenkins has admitted that the psychological games on the show have left him "suspicious" of everyone in real life. Jenkins, who appeared in series two in 2024, spoke exclusively to Daily Star on behalf of Buzz Bingo.

Life After the Castle

Jenkins explained how the experience has affected his daily interactions. "I don't trust anybody anymore! I'm suspicious of everyone. If anybody tries to be nice to me, I think: 'Why? What are you up to?'"

He added that the show changed his life, which was his main motivation for taking part. "Seriously, it changed my life and that's the only reason I went on the show, to be honest. I didn't apply for it initially, they approached me. The casting director said: 'Would you like to come on the show? Your story is incredible,' and I said to my previous partner: 'I can get a great profile and platform to do what I do now.'"

Career Impact and Regrets

Jenkins, who was an insurance broker before the show, left his job two and a half years ago to pursue his current work. "I was doing this work before the show, but it's obviously amplified my profile and platform, and I've got lots of connections so yes, it's changed my life, obviously, because I left my job two and a half years ago."

Reflecting on his time in the game, Jenkins admitted he could have influenced fellow contestant Mollie. "I think I could have influenced Mollie. I could have said a few things to Mollie a few days before the final, to be honest. I got on really well with Mollie. I meet up with her now and again."

No Regrets on Final Outcome

Jenkins said he has no regrets about his performance, believing he had little chance of winning. "Jaz had his suspicions on me, Mollie sort of had her suspicions on me, and obviously Harry was going to vote for me. So even if we'd got Harry out, I think Mollie and Jaz would have voted for me anyway."

He suggested that Mollie and Jaz could have split the prize fund if Mollie had voted differently. "Mollie should have clicked that he carried on voting, so clearly Jaz wasn't a traitor. She should have voted for Harry, and then Mollie and Jaz could have had £45,000 each. So I probably should have… I was too nice. But I'd rather be known as a nice person than a deceitful liar."
