Dunelm has cut the price of its Cloud Washable Shaggy Rug by as much as £45.80 as part of its autumn sale, with shoppers praising the softness and comparing the backing to a bath mat. The rug, available in three colourways and several sizes, has a 20% discount applied in the sale.
The Cloud Washable Shaggy Rug comes in Cloud Sandstone, Cloud Forest Green and Cloud Black. The product description on the Dunelm website says it is designed with a "luxuriously soft long pile" and is suitable for living rooms, bedrooms and relaxed family spaces. It is made from hardwearing polyester and is fully machine washable, with an anti-slip backing.
Shopper Reviews Highlight Softness and Practicality
The rug holds a rating of 4.8 out of five stars from shoppers. One five-star reviewer wrote: "Very soft underfoot, my daughter loves it. Quick delivery too!" Another said: "Lovely rug that lights up the room and makes it look lovely."
A third reviewer commented: "I'm so pleased with this rug. I ordered 3 for the bedroom to replace some old, thin rugs. These feel really soft and comforting underfoot, and the dogs love them as an alternative to their beds in the hot weather. I hoover them with the Henry and they spring back up and look gorgeous."
One shopper compared the rug to a bath mat, writing: "Like a huge bath mat, the backing is brilliant. The colour brilliant. How can I be so excited about rugs." Another added: "I'm very happy with the rug. Its excellent quality and definitely worth the price. I got it in the sale which was even better. Its really thick with a good pile. It stays put on my wooden floor. The colour is perfect."
Alternative Rugs Available at Dusk
Some reviewers noted minor drawbacks. One shopper gave four stars, saying: "The rug is very lush and deep pile, with a soft touch. Only downside is that it creeps across the carpet underneath. The rubber base doesn't seem to have any effect." Another reduced their rating due to colour, writing: "Lovely rug, I bought 2, they are described as forest green but they are a bit lighter than that hence the 4 stars rather than 5."
