Traitors Fans United on Yawn Murder Cliffhanger

Celebrity Traitors fans were left making the same statement just moments into the first episode of week four of the series, after the previous week was left on a dramatic murder cliffhanger.

It was recently confirmed that an audience of 9.3 million tuned in to last Friday's (October 16) instalment of the BBC reality gameshow, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, to watch comedian Joe Lycett be banished from the castle.

Record Viewing Figures

The sixth episode of the second series of The Traitors spin-off also attracted a peak audience of 9.6 million and a 57% audience share, according to the BBC.

Friday's episode opened with the revelation that no player had been murdered after Traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster recruited content creator King Kenny.

Recruitment and Banishment

The YouTube star filled the vacancy left by Hannah Fry, after she was banished during the round table in Thursday's (October 15) episode and exposed as a Traitor. Joe had been vocal about wanting to be her replacement, which ultimately sealed his fate, as his calls for recruitment aroused suspicion among his fellow faithfuls and led to his banishment.

After the dramatic round table, Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock lightened the mood as she taught comedian Miranda Hart the dance moves to the band's hit Touch. But while Miranda was busy dubbing herself "Big Mix", the Traitors were attempting to murder either Jerry Hall or Ross Kemp in plain sight by "boring them to death".

The treacherous trio sprayed a perfume from a peacock bottle, and then were trying to encourage a faithful to yawn to inhale the perfume and kill them. The episode ended with the clock ticking and the Traitors under pressure as it seemed they were running out of time.

It was finally time to find out what happened on Thursday (October 22) night as the fourth week of The Celebrity Traitors' latest series got underway, and viewers were seen flocking to social media with the same comment.
