Liverpool are reportedly set to hold talks with Ifeanyi Ndukwe's representatives in the coming days, with a potential return to Anfield in January on the agenda. The 18-year-old is currently on loan at Spanish club Levante, having completed the move towards the end of the summer transfer window.
Ndukwe's Path to Anfield
After joining Liverpool following an agreement with his former club Austria Wien earlier in the year, Ndukwe caught the eye during pre-season, but was unable to feature for the Reds once the 2026/27 campaign got underway.
The teenager was prevented from playing due to work permit complications, but has since met the requirements needed to obtain a permit, paving the way for him to pull on a Liverpool shirt.
Talks Over January Recall
Liverpool retained the option to recall the young defender from his loan spell at Levante in January, and according to Sky Sports Austria, that possibility is now set to be explored with Ndukwe's agents.
The report states that representatives from Ndukwe's agency, More than Sport by AS1, will sit down with Liverpool officials over the coming weekend to map out his next steps.
Impressive Form in Spain
At the heart of those talks will be whether he will be brought back from his loan in January, or whether he will remain in Spain for the rest of the season.
It is understood that a return to Anfield has not been ruled out now that he is eligible to represent the Reds, though it will hinge on him being guaranteed sufficient playing time back on Merseyside.
Ndukwe is beginning to make his mark in Spain, having featured from the start in Levante's last three La Liga fixtures, with his introduction sparking an improvement in form for Luis Castro's side following back-to-back defeats.
With Ndukwe in the starting line-up, Levante have recorded two draws and a victory, with the teenager also netting in a 3-3 draw with Sevilla. His displays have earned glowing reviews from the Spanish press, with one outlet going so far as to suggest he could become "one of the world's top center-backs".
