Ross Kemp was murdered in plain sight on The Celebrity Traitors after the Traitors successfully bored him into yawning, with fans calling it a 'dream scenario' as only Jerry Hall witnessed the act.
The former EastEnders actor fell victim during the BBC reality show's week four opening episode on Thursday (October 22), after he yawned in front of Traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster. James then asked: "Am I boring you?"
How the murder unfolded
In Friday's (October 16) episode, following the banishment of Faithful Joe Lycett at the round table, the Traitors - Maya, James and King Kenny - attempted to murder either Ross or Jerry Hall in plain sight by "boring them to death". The trio sprayed perfume from a peacock bottle and tried to get a faithful person to yawn and inhale it.
Viewers had to wait six days to discover the outcome. As Ross walked towards the envelope confirming his murder, he said: "Oh no! It had to happen…at some point."
Ross Kemp's exit speech
During his exit speech, Ross quoted Shakespeare's Hamlet: "To thine own self be true." He said: "I mean, I was really sensitive to people coming close to me, it could have been a cheers, it could have been anything. There's a great line from Shakespeare. I think it's Polonius's advice to his son, 'To thine own self be true!' and I have been true to myself. And I have been true to the Faithfuls."
He then stared into the camera and added: "Well played traitors, but you're always going to be traitors..and I know where you live!"
