Tiffany Pollard, the US reality TV star known for her memorable stint on Celebrity Big Brother, is set to return to the Big Brother house next week for a few nights as part of this series' celebrity guest twist. The news confirms a report from The Sun last month, with Pollard making her comeback a decade after her appearance on the Channel 5 version of the show.
ITV viewers can expect fireworks as she prepares to come face-to-face with the current contestants, including Rochelle Rackford and Philip Regan. The outspoken star is expected to bring her trademark attitude to the house, and a source said: “Securing Tiffany is a huge coup. She was hugely popular on the Celebrity Big Brother and knows exactly what she is doing.”
A Decade After Her Iconic Run
Pollard finished fourth when she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, with Geordie Shore star Scotty T eventually taking the crown. However, it was her dramatic reaction to news of a death that cemented her place in reality TV history.
During her time in the house, fellow contestant Angie Best told Tiffany that her ex-husband David Bowie had died. Tiffany mistakenly thought Angie was talking about housemate David Gest, who was asleep at the time, and immediately became distressed. Angie told her: “Tiff, you’ve got to do me a favour. You can’t say a word. David’s dead.”
Chaos and a House Exit
Tiffany screamed and questioned whether Angie was joking, before EastEnders actor John Partridge stepped in to clarify the confusion, saying: “You’ve got the wrong David.” The chaos even prompted Kim Kardashian's best friend Jonathan Cheban to leave the house, explaining: “I just think that my time here is kind of expired. The house is not fun any more.”
He added: “I’m not really into fighting, Tiffany’s insane and it’s just going to be a horrible situation here and I just don’t want to be a part of that situation.”
Guest Appearances and Ratings Boost
Tiffany's arrival follows appearances from Jedward and Gemma Collins, who have also returned to the Big Brother house during this series. The show has enjoyed a ratings boost, with the Big Brother brand reaching 202 million streams on ITVX and the current series alone exceeding 37 million streams – almost 60% up on the same point last year.
Fans will also get another chance to see this year's contestants together when Big Brother: The Reunion airs on November 6, hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best.
