Strictly's first three-way dance-off sends Lawrence Robb home
Strictly's first three-way dance-off ousts Lawrence Robb

Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb and his professional partner Jowita Przystal have become the latest couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing, after the show's first-ever three-way dance-off.

The pair were eliminated during Sunday's (November 1) results show, following a historic three-couple dance-off against Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu, and Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu.

Historic Three-Way Dance-Off

For the first time in the show's 22-year history, three couples faced the dance-off after receiving the lowest scores from the public vote. Bethany and Nancy performed their Jive to I'm In Love With a Monster by Fifth Harmony, Jaime and Carlos danced their Salsa to Filthy / Gorgeous by Scissor Sisters, and Lawrence and Jowita performed their Tango to Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr.

Instead of the usual rule where judges save their favourite from just two couples, they each delivered verdicts on who they wished to eliminate.

Judges' Unanimous Decision

The judges were unanimous in their choice, with head judge Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood all selecting Lawrence and Jowita for elimination. Motsi Mabuse, who held the deciding vote this week, said she would also have chosen to eliminate Lawrence and Jowita had her vote been needed.

Halloween Results Show

Sunday's results show featured a Halloween group routine to Dracula by Tame Impala, with a vocal cameo from Sir Ian McKellen. The pre-recorded dance showed Alexis Warr and Nikita Kuzmin on a first date, before revealing Nikita as a vampire, with the other professionals joining in. Sir Ian read an extract from Bram Stoker's horror novel at the routine's climax. The show also featured music from Becky Hill, accompanied by Strictly pros Aleksandra Isaeva and Cristian Priori.

The remaining ten couples will return to the dancefloor on Saturday, November 7, when Strictly Come Dancing airs at 6:30pm.
