Strictly Star Worries Dani Dyer's Confidence After Scores

Strictly Come Dancing star Denise van Outen has expressed fears that Dani Dyer's confidence may have been knocked after her Rumba was marked "too low" on Saturday's show. Speaking on Monday's It Takes Two (October 19), the guest panel also tipped Tabby as a potential finalist.

The show followed Dame Sarah Storey's departure on Sunday evening. The 48-year-old Paralympian ended up in the bottom two with actress Bethany Antonia, who had secured the fewest votes in the public ballot. After both couples danced again, the judges unanimously chose to retain Bethany, ending Sarah's journey on the BBC programme.

Panel Discusses Dani Dyer's Rumba

Presenter Ellie Taylor was joined by Neil Jones, Lewis Cope and Denise van Outen to review the weekend's performances. Ellie noted that Dani and her partner Nikita "only fell two points from last week but they were second bottom of the leader board which is hard to stomach that isn't it."

Lewis called the routine "nice" and said he "enjoyed it," while Neil remarked that the Rumba and Waltz are "one of the hardest dances." Denise, however, voiced her worries: "I really hope it hasn't knocked Dani's confidence because she was really nervous wasn't she about doing it this week, and I thought it was a lovely dance. I really enjoyed it and I thought she was marked too low really, she should've been scored higher."

Potential Finalists Named

The panel then shared their predictions for the final. Denise praised Tabby and Mark, saying: "I'm a huge fan and I actually think we've got a potential finalist here, she's incredible. Every week she just nails it." Lewis agreed: "I think we could probably see her in the final too," while Neil added: "She's a talented dancer. She's taking on everything and she does really well."

At the end of the programme, Neil forecast John could "even win it," and Lewis predicted Delta could "go all the way." Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two airs weeknights from 6.30pm on BBC Two and iPlayer.
