Denise van Outen has voiced concerns that Dani Dyer's confidence may have been knocked after her Rumba performance received a low score on Strictly Come Dancing. Speaking on Monday's It Takes Two (October 19), the panel discussed the weekend's performances following the departure of Dame Sarah Storey.
The 48-year-old Paralympian was in the bottom two alongside actress Bethany Antonia after receiving the fewest votes from the public. After both couples danced again, the judges unanimously saved Bethany, ending Sarah's time on the BBC show.
Panel Discusses Dani's Rumba
Host Ellie Taylor was joined by Neil Jones, Lewis Cope and Denise van Outen to review Saturday's routines. Ellie noted that Dani and her partner Nikita fell two points from last week but were second bottom of the leaderboard, calling it "hard to stomach."
Lewis called the routine "nice" and said he "enjoyed it," while Neil described the Rumba as "one of the hardest dances." Denise expressed her hope that the performance had not "knocked Dani's confidence," adding: "I really hope it hasn't knocked Dani's confidence because she was really nervous wasn't she about doing it this week, and I thought it was a lovely dance. I really enjoyed it and I thought she was marked too low really, she should've been scored higher."
Potential Finalists Named
The panel also shared who they think could reach the final. Denise praised Tabby and Mark, saying: "I'm a huge fan and I actually think we've got a potential finalist here, she's incredible. Every week she just nails it." Lewis agreed, saying he could see her in the final, and Neil called her a "talented dancer."
At the end of the programme, Neil forecast that John "could even win it," while Lewis predicted Delta could "go all the way." Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two airs weeknights from 6.30pm on BBC Two and iPlayer.
