Strictly Come Dancing has been flooded with complaints as viewers asked 'what is in the air tonight'. The BBC dance contest returned on Saturday (October 24) with the remaining contestants competing for the Glitterball trophy.
Last week's Icons Week saw Jaime and Carlos and Cach and Maddie come in joint top of the leaderboard with a score of 34, meanwhile Sarah and Julian found themselves at the bottom and were eliminated from the competition after facing the dance off against Bethany and Nancy.
Mistakes on the Dance Floor
With the stakes high again this week, each of the couples returned in a bid to impress the judges during week five of the competition. But unfortunately, several celebrities were caught making mistakes.
Shaun and Alexis performed a Jive to Faith by Stevie Wonder ft. Ariana Grande, but were hit with harsh criticism from the judges giving them a score of just 17, with 3s from Craig and Shirley. Lawrence and Jowita also received a low score of 19 for their Jive to The Rockafeller Skank by Fatboy Slim after making several mistakes pointed out by the judges.
Judges' Criticism and Scores
Following their Cha Cha to Beggin' by Måneskin, Cach and Maddie were also criticised for Cach's mistakes and failure to stick to the Cha Cha style. They were given a total score of 24.
Viewers said they weren't impressed with tonight's 'poor' show, as they took to X to share their complaints. @RosemaryLee29 wrote: "Is it me or is the standard of dancing poor tonight ! #Strictly," as @Kendal_ said: "Such a poor show so far. It feels like week one… #Strictly."
