Strictly Come Dancing: How to vote in tonight's live show

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One tonight (Saturday, October 10) for another evening of ballroom action. Voting is expected to open at approximately 8.30pm, and viewers can cast their votes online or by scanning a QR code shown during the live broadcast.

How to cast your vote

To vote, visit the BBC Strictly homepage at www.bbc.co.uk/strictly, where the voting section appears at the top of the page. Alternatively, scan the QR code that appears on screen during the live show to go directly to the voting page.

Viewers must be logged in with a BBC account before voting begins. Those who have never voted online before will need to create a BBC account ahead of the live show, as there will be limited time to vote once the lines open.

Voting rules and options

When voting opens, couples are listed in alphabetical order. Viewers can click the plus symbol beside a couple's name to place votes. All five votes can be given to one couple or split among several.

If all votes are submitted together, a second vote is not possible. However, those who vote individually or in multiple submissions can use the “vote again” option to place remaining votes until the button disappears.

Last week's results and scores

Movie Week concluded with the departure of Chris Appleton and his professional partner Amy Dowden, who lost to Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu in the dance-off. The judging panel of Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, and Craig Revel Horwood unanimously saved Jaime and Carlos.

Amy, who also left the contest first last year alongside Tom Skinner, said: “Obviously I'm heartbroken, this seems to have been my luck the past few years. But you know what, my heart is only breaking because I don't get to dance with [Chris] on Monday, but I've got a friend for life and that's what's going to heal my broken heart.”

Last week, each pair's movie-themed routine was combined with their score from the previous week. Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington topped the joint leaderboard with 59 points, followed by Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley, and Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola, each with 55 points. Melanie Walters and Aljaž Škorjanec were at the bottom with 30 points.

Scores are reset ahead of tonight's live show. Strictly Come Dancing is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
