Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe to Host Strictly Come Dancing 2026

Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe have been announced as the new presenters of Strictly Come Dancing, taking over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The trio will host the BBC dancing competition when it returns this autumn for its 24th series.

BBC Chief Content Officer Kate Phillips said: “Emma, Johannes and Josh’s chemistry is undeniable. There’s been so much speculation and hype, so I’m relieved we can share the news with the public at last! … In a Strictly first we have chosen three outstanding hosts to take up the mantle.”

Radebe has been a professional dancer on the show for seven series. Willis has presented The Voice and Big Brother. Widdicombe, a comedian, took part in the 2024 Christmas special. He said: “Dancing the Charleston dressed as a penguin for the 2024 Christmas Special of Strictly remains my career high point. So I am giddy with excitement, honoured and a little overawed to be given the chance to step into the biggest shoes in television … I’ll dust off the penguin costume.”

Radebe said: “This show has always stood for joy, heart and togetherness, and I feel deeply honoured to now help carry that magic forward. I’m ready – sequins, nerves and all ... please bear with me.” Willis added: “I can’t wait to spend my weekends with Josh and Jojo, the incredible dancers and the judges. Fingers crossed for a 10 from them!”

The new hosts replace Daly and Winkleman, who jointly presented since 2014 and both received MBEs in June 2025. Their departure followed years of controversy for the show, including an investigation into alleged cocaine use, two arrests on suspicion of rape (one not involved in the 2025 series, the other facing no charges), and a vote-rigging accusation from contestant Thomas Skinner, which the BBC denies.
