David questions why, but when Lisa is insistent, they both cringe.

On Monday, October 12, as Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) continues to shave Kit Green's (Jacob Roberts) head, he's rattled by his dad's banter about dying. Kit denies that he's scared about what's to come, reasoning that there's no point, and when he apologises to Brody for potentially giving him the same genes and the worry that comes with not knowing until he's 18, Brody repeats his words back to him.

Gary faces losing Jake after covering for Sarah
On Tuesday, October 13, Gary Windass (Mikey North) brings Jake (Bobby Bradshaw) to the café and pleads his case to his son, trying to convince him to return home with promises of pizza and holiday. Jake isn't so easily won over, though, and unable to accept that Gary has risked his freedom and the stability of their home for Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien), storms away and declares that he'll be staying with his mum permanently.
Has Gary sacrificed more than just his freedom in order to cover up Sarah's crime?
Debbie fears Ronnie is having an affair
On Wednesday, October 14, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is in a state and calls on Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) for support. She thinks Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) is having an affair and, after finding a leaflet for a care home in the bin, thinks he'll send her away to carry on with his other woman.
Abi listens intently but tries to reason with Debbie, telling her that Ronnie has always been honest and true, and the fact that the leaflet was in the bin suggests he doesn't plan on sending Debbie anywhere. When Debbie pleads with her to find out more, will Abi spy on Ronnie?
Sarah asks Bethany to take Harry if she's sent down
On Friday, October 16, after a brutal day in court, Sarah reaches out to Bethany (Lucy Fallon) on the phone, as David gripes about Kit's performance on the stand. As tears fall down her face, Sarah explains to Bethany that she knows how much she's asking, and reasoning that becoming her mum was the best thing that ever happened to her, asks Bethany to take on Harry (Joshua Leavy) should she be sent down for murder.
