Murder Scene returns to Channel 5 with Cop Killer episode

Channel 5's true crime documentary series Murder Scene: The Incident Room returns tonight with an episode centred on the killing of a police officer on her own doorstep.

The episode, titled 'Cop Killer', airs at 8pm and examines the 2006 death of Police Special Constable Nisha Patel-Nasri, who was 29 when she was fatally wounded outside her home in North London.

A Case Close to Home for London Police

The case became particularly significant for the police force in London, as one of their own officers had been murdered. The scene offered no obvious witnesses and no clear suspect, leaving the community in shock.

Detectives, led by Detective Chief Inspector Nick Scola, faced immediate and immense pressure to solve the case.

Uncovering a Complex Investigation

An official synopsis describes how phone records, vehicle movements and forensic clues began to reveal a far more complex picture than anyone first imagined.

As detectives retraced Patel-Nasri's final hours, they uncovered hidden tensions, troubling connections and a web of relationships stretching beyond her quiet suburban street.

Twists Into the Criminal Underworld

The investigation eventually twisted into the criminal underworld of hitmen and getaway drivers, with speculation mounting and the media watching closely.

Murder Scene: The Incident Room first aired in 2023 and now returns with new episodes every Wednesday. Episodes can also be streamed online.
