A Parent's Worst Nightmare Unfolds
The story centres on Sarah, portrayed by Scanlan, a single mother whose teenage daughter Katie is participating in a school exchange in a picturesque French village. Sarah's world is abruptly shattered when she receives a late-night missed call from Katie, prompting her to drop everything and rush to France immediately.
Upon arrival, Sarah encounters a chilling indifference from the host family and local authorities regarding Katie's disappearance. Refusing to accept their complacency, her search spirals into a dangerous and gripping race against time, set against a backdrop of stunning yet unsettling beauty.

Missed Call features an impressive ensemble cast, including Robert Lindsay from Sherwood, Rupert Graves of Sherlock fame, Claire Keim, and François-Xavier Demaison. The series was devised by Samuel Kissous and Matthew Thomas, with the script penned by Thomas in collaboration with Sally Abbott, known for Vera and Call the Midwife, and Paul Matthew Thompson, writer for Ridley and Shakespeare and Hathaway.
