Miranda Hart invites Leigh-Anne Pinnock to studio after 'Big Mix'

Miranda Hart has urged Celebrity Traitors co-star Leigh-Anne Pinnock to join her in the studio after the pair impressed fans with an impromptu dance routine in the castle.

On Friday’s episode, Leigh-Anne offered to comfort the comedian after friend Joe Lycett was banished by teaching her a Little Mix dance move. The pair then performed together, with Miranda shouting: “Introducing Little Mix and... Big Mix!” as the Faithfuls danced on the castle floor in the Scottish Highlands.

Big Mix Is Born

This afternoon, Miranda shared a clip on Instagram showing off more of her moves and pleading with Leigh-Anne to join her. “You’ve just caught me doing my personal pop performance preparation,” she told followers in a video captioned ‘Big Mix is born’.

“It has been proven to me, inherently, that I am a pop star. I knew it all along, it just makes so much sense,” she said, before showing a mounted record of their mock debut album, titled “Big Mix the glory days”.

“If this was the debut, this means there’s more to come,” she added. “I presume Leigh-Anne and I will be getting into the studio.”

Leigh-Anne Responds

Pregnant Leigh-Anne responded with her own video, posting: “I guess it’s official... Big Mix are taking over! @realmirandahart you are simply the best.”

Reflecting on Illness

The series has also included emotional moments. On Friday, Miranda reflected on the impact of her chronic illness during an intense Highland outdoor mission.

“I mean, three or four years ago, due to illness, I thought I may not ever have a gentle walk around a park again. I find myself up a Scottish highland, wheelbarrowing along a very large head... It’s very exciting,” she said.

She also told Traitor James Acaster, who comforted her with a hug: “I haven’t played like that in so long. The floodgates just opened i guess, it suddenly wasn’t about a silly Faithful or Traitor.”

Miranda, 53, has battled a chronic illness for decades. She contracted a tick-borne infection as a teenager in the US, but it went undiagnosed for over 30 years. She was later diagnosed with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as chronic fatigue syndrome, before receiving a Lyme Disease diagnosis in 2020.
