Michael Sheen's overthinking could lead to his exit from Celebrity Traitors, according to body language expert Judi James, who says his intimidating presence may not be enough to save him.
The actor has so far escaped suspicion as a Faithful on the BBC show, but James claims his constant analysis could make him a target for the Traitors and fellow Faithfuls alike.
Traitors Eliminate Two More Faithfuls
Thursday's episode (October 23) saw two more Faithfuls eliminated following a murder-in-plain-sight mission and a banishment. In a challenge called 'Bored to Death', Traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny sprayed a special "peacock perfume" in a room before luring an unsuspecting Faithful. EastEnders star Ross Kemp fell for the trap after yawning as James asked, "Am I boring you?".
Later, Jerry Hall was voted off at the round table, marking another mistake for the Faithful. Sheen has led discussions and consistently identified Traitors without drawing much heat, but this could change.
Body Language Tells
Speaking about Sheen's position, James explained he has stepped into a central leadership role, standing "bang in the middle and right at the front of the group, legs akimbo". She noted his ability to intimidate the Traitors during the shield task, describing how he "stood like some mythological monster" and "lifted his top lip to bare his upper teeth in a snarl".
However, James said the "real" Michael is a "total over-thinker", which makes him a poor Traitor-hunter. His tells include stroking his beard, darting his eyes from side to side when hearing new clues, and counting points off on his fingers at the round table.
Overthinking Could Be His Downfall
James suggested there is a random aspect to Traitors where a gut-reaction guess can be more successful than an intellectual decision, meaning Sheen's overthinking could prove his undoing.
Celebrity Traitors continues tonight (October 23) at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
