Love Island finalists are set to earn millions after leaving the villa, far surpassing the £50,000 prize money, according to a report. However, this year's contestants face unprecedented restrictions under their ITV contracts, including an eight-month ban on TV appearances and a veto on commercial deals for one month after the series ends.
The 2021 finalists—Millie Court, 24, and Liam Reardon, 22; Chloe Burrows, 25, and Toby Aromolaran, 22; Faye Winter, 26, and Teddy Soares, 26; and Kaz Kamwi, 26, and Tyler Cruickshank, 26—can expect lucrative income from clothing lines, club appearances, and brand endorsements. Former stars like Molly-Mae Hague secured a reported £500,000 deal with PrettyLittleThing despite not winning.
ITV's contract, leaked to The Sun, states that contestants 'must not apply, audition for, or appear on any other programme until February 22' and require approval for any podcast appearances. A source described it as 'one of the strictest contracts I've ever seen,' noting that 'everyone knows as soon as you leave any reality show you have to strike while the iron is hot but ITV's demands make that really hard.'
Despite these hurdles, clothing collaborations with fast fashion brands remain the most coveted deals. Ambassadorships with companies like Ann Summers have also proven lucrative, with Megan Barton Hanson reportedly earning six figures from her lingerie edit. Personal appearances at nightclubs can net thousands per hour, while top earners like Liberty Poole command high fees per Instagram post due to her million-plus followers.
