Lisa Hogan has joked that she and Jeremy Clarkson will have been together for "double digits" if they "make it to December", as the couple approach a 10-year milestone.
In a frank interview on Diddly Squat Farm, the former model and actress spoke about how she met the former Top Gear presenter, their relationship, and the impact of Clarkson's Farm.
How they met
Speaking to Lucas Stewart on his YouTube channel, Hogan, 55, revealed they were set up on blind dates "a couple of times" but either she or Clarkson couldn't make it. She said: "And then I was just leaving a Christmas party and he was like 'No, let's have a drink' and we kind of went from there. This was coming up to 10 years ago. It's going to be double digits if we make it to December."
The interview covered a range of topics, including surviving a plane crash, her acting career, and life on the farm. It comes after the latest series of Clarkson's Farm revealed Clarkson's prostate cancer diagnosis, from which he is now in remission.
Fame and gratitude
Hogan also addressed the success of the Amazon Prime show, noting how fans approach her at the farm shop. She said: "I tell you what, the amount of people that come up to the shop and they're just really grateful and sweet about how much they've learnt about farming."
She added: "So it's not that you've tried to be famous or I certainly haven't tried to be famous, but the people that like you are so grateful for what you've taught them. So it's not like you're on the golden screen. I don't really get out much I'm working a lot of the time...so we're kind of in our bubble."
Marriage comments
The comments come after Kaleb Cooper and his partner Taya got married, prompting questions about whether Hogan and Clarkson would tie the knot. She previously told the Sunday Times: "I'm not bothered about getting married again but we're very happy together."
In the same interview, she admitted she wasn't sure if she was ready to stop being single when she met Clarkson. She explained: "I was starting to get out and about again. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be taken out of the market yet."
She added: "It changes from decade to decade. In your twenties and thirties you're looking for a partner to breed with. Then later on it's different.... now I want someone with whom I'm compatible and who interests me."
