A LEGO Batman installation has appeared on the banks of the River Thames, offering fans a first look at the new video game, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. The pop-up, set up in front of Tower Bridge, features a Batcave-inspired design with rocky detailing, screens, and a gaming hub where visitors can play the game before its official release.
Among the first to try the game were Diversity stars Ashley and Jordan Banjo, self-confessed Batman super fans. The brothers went head-to-head in gaming challenges and posed for photos at the Potters Fields site. Jordan Banjo said: “It’s been an awesome experience being among the first to play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight with some true fans. Ashley and I were big Batman fans growing up, not to mention LEGO, so it’s an understatement to say we were excited by this launch.”
The installation includes a wall of video screens and life-size LEGO models built from thousands of bricks, as well as a brick recreation of the Gotham skyline. The game, released on May 22, follows Bruce Wayne’s journey from trainee to Gotham’s hero, with allies such as Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Jim Gordon. Players explore an open-world Gotham City, battling villains including The Joker, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, and Bane.
The story spans Batman’s history across film, TV, and comics, combining action, exploration, and co-op gameplay. Players can switch between characters and use unique abilities to progress through missions and uncover secrets.
