Lacey Turner: nothing fits after Strictly transformation

Lacey Turner has revealed that "nothing fits me anymore" after her body transformation during her time on Strictly Come Dancing. The EastEnders actress, 38, is competing with professional dancer Vito Coppola and says her hard work on the dance floor is paying off.

Leaderboard success and body changes

Last week, the actress topped the leaderboard with her Charleston, scoring nines from all four judges alongside Vito. Beyond her dance skills, Lacey, who has admitted she has never been one to care about her shape or size, has confessed she has been taken aback by her transformation.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: "Nothing fits me any more! I mean, considering the amount of pastries we eat and the pasta we eat, I'm shocked! I think what's happening to my body is that it's going like a vacuum pack. I don't think you necessarily lose weight, but everything sort of tightens up and you feel stronger."

Recovery and fan support

The mum-of-three also noted she has been amazed by how quickly she is recovering from the tough training, saying it feels as though her body is becoming "resilient". Fans have tipped Lacey to make it all the way to the final of the dance contest, with bookmakers making her one of two favourites to lift the Glitter Ball trophy.

This year's Strictly line-up includes Love Island star Cach Mercer, TV personality Dani Dyer, singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem, actress Jaime Winstone, TV dog trainer Graeme Hall, and Olympic skeleton athlete Tabby Stoecker, alongside the EastEnders star.

Viewers predict a duel

After last weekend's Halloween showing, viewers think it will be either Lacey or Tabby who will be crowned winner. On Reddit, one user wrote: "Lacey's Charleston was an absolute vibe! So glad she finally had her breakthrough moment! And as much as I love Tabby, I'm glad she's had her wobble now so she can regroup and bounce back. Lacey rising, Tabby fighting back… this is turning into an exciting duel!"

Another fan agreed, writing: "I loved her Charleston and I'm not normally a big fan of the style. Lacey was so light and relaxed it was just really fun to watch. And she was nearly Katya levels of fearless with those lifts!" Bookmakers have made the pair close favourites, with many major UK bookmakers still leaning toward Lacey as the overall favourite, while recent strong performances, including a pair of perfect tens, have seen Tabby surge to the top spot on several alternative trackers.
