Stacey Solomon has addressed speculation about her relationship with Joe Swash, insisting the couple are 'just like any other couple' and dismissing claims of a rift. The TV star, who married Joe in a lavish ceremony in 2022, faced scrutiny after reports emerged that their marriage was not formally registered and she was seen without her wedding ring.
Speaking to close friend Dilly Carter on the Sort Your Life Out Unpacked podcast, Stacey said: 'Sometimes I fancy the pants off him and can’t wait to come home to see him. Sometimes I'm like get out of my stratosphere - stay away from me.' She added that being in the public eye does not affect their relationship, as they ignore unfounded rumours.
The couple, who met in the Australian jungle in 2010 when Stacey won I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, have three children together: Rex, seven, Rose, four, and Belle, three. Stacey also has two older sons, Zach and Leighton, from previous relationships, while Joe has a son, Harry, from a past relationship.
Stacey admitted she does not remember their first meeting, despite Joe recalling it vividly. 'He remembers everything I said in the interview, he remembers what I looked like, where I was going, who I was with. I don't remember any of it,' she said, joking that his detailed recollection was 'a bit stalkerish'.
Despite the challenges of a busy family life, Stacey insisted their relationship is normal. 'We live in extreme privilege... but in every other way there's nothing interesting. We're just going to go home, clean up duck poo, and argue with each other about beans on a sofa,' she said.
