Strictly's James Jordan calls Sarah Storey's exit routine 'terrible'
James Jordan slams Sarah Storey's 'terrible' Strictly routine

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan has criticised one routine on the BBC show, saying the right contestant departed after Sarah Storey became the third celebrity to leave during Icons Week.

Sarah Storey landed in the dance-off with Bethany Antonia on Sunday night (October 18). After both couples repeated their performances, the judging panel unanimously chose to keep Bethany, ending Sarah's journey on the show.

James Jordan's Verdict on the Dance-Off

James, who served as a professional dancer on the series for eight seasons, said he was not surprised by the result. Speaking on behalf of WhichBingo, he said: "The right person went. I thought it was terrible. I didn't think it was a good dance."

He added: "I'm not shocked that they were in the bottom two, and I wasn't shocked that the two girls were in the bottom two either. I gave Bethany and Nancy a six, and I gave Sarah and Julian's tango a three. So yes, for me, the right people went, definitely."

Cach's Score Questioned

James also suggested Dani Dyer and her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin were "overmarked", though he believes they will avoid the bottom two thanks to their substantial fanbase.

During Icons Week, content creator Cach delivered a Foxtrot with his partner Maddie Ingoldsby, securing a score of 34, the highest mark in the competition so far. The 25-year-old has faced criticism for weaving street dance elements into his performances.

While James commended the performance, saying Cach did "a really good job", he remains convinced the score was unwarranted. He said: "He was way over-marked, though, in my opinion, because I didn't see one heel lead. His legs were not good at all, and the judges said they were, which is wrong. He was over-marked."

He continued: "Having said that, I still loved it. I love the fact that he came out and did that, and I'm honest enough to say I really enjoyed the dance and thought he did a brilliant job. I much preferred him going down that route of doing traditional ballroom and Latin. But he was still over-marked by the judges."

What's Next on Strictly

This week, Cach will perform a Cha Cha to Maneskin's track Beggin'. He is not the only celebrity tackling this dance style, as Will Best will perform a Cha Cha to Della Reese's track Daddy.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6:30pm.
