Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan has criticised Sarah Storey's Tango routine during Icons Week, calling the dance "terrible" and saying the right person left the show.
The Paralympian became the third celebrity eliminated from the BBC programme on Sunday night (October 18) after facing Bethany Antonia in the dance-off. Both couples performed their routines again, and the judges voted unanimously to save Bethany, ending Sarah's time on the competition.
Jordan's Verdict on the Dance-Off
Jordan, who was a professional on the show for eight series, said: "The right person went. I thought it was terrible. I didn't think it was a good dance."
Speaking on behalf of WhichBingo, he added: "I'm not shocked that they were in the bottom two, and I wasn't shocked that the two girls were in the bottom two either. I gave Bethany and Nancy a six, and I gave Sarah and Julian's tango a three. So yes, for me, the right people went, definitely."
Cach's Foxtrot Score Questioned
Jordan also suggested Dani Dyer and her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin were "overmarked", although he does not believe they will be in the bottom two soon because of their large following.
During Icons Week, content creator Cach performed a Foxtrot with his partner Maddie Ingoldsby, earning a score of 34, the highest of the competition so far. The 25-year-old has faced backlash since the show began for incorporating street dance moves into his routines.
Although Jordan praised the performance, saying Cach did "a really good job", he believes the mark was unjustified. He said: "He was way over-marked, though, in my opinion, because I didn't see one heel lead. His legs were not good at all, and the judges said they were, which is wrong. He was over-marked."
He continued: "Having said that, I still loved it. I love the fact that he came out and did that, and I'm honest enough to say I really enjoyed the dance and thought he did a brilliant job. I much preferred him going down that route of doing traditional ballroom and Latin. But he was still over-marked by the judges."
Upcoming Performances
This week, Cach will perform a Cha Cha to Maneskin's song "Beggin'." He is not the only celebrity doing this style, as Will Best will also perform a Cha Cha to Della Reese's song "Daddy."
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6:30pm.
