James Blunt brought fans to tears with a hilarious moment on The Celebrity Traitors, shouting "MURDER" out of a castle window during a challenge that left Claudia Winkleman questioning whether it was really happening.
The BBC show returned with a jam-packed penultimate episode on Thursday. The cast said goodbye to two Faithfuls at the start of the episode before diving straight into a challenge.
James Blunt's Vocal Mission
The game proved to be more "unserious" than usual, as the remaining contestants were tasked with replicating the screams of their "murdered" castmates. Claudia Winkleman set out the rules, before the stars took themselves off for a vocal warm up.
The heads of the "murdered" celebrities were printed onto a wooden box, and their scream played out. The team of players then had to copy the scream, while the others had to guess who it could be.
After a quick warm up humming the melody to his hit song, the You're Beautiful hitmaker James Blunt got to work. He told the cameras: "This is a mission only for highly skilled vocalists."
The musician didn't shy away from replicating Amol Rajan's scream as James yelled "MURDER" out of the castle window.
Fans React on Social Media
Fans couldn't take the challenge seriously, with many rushing to social media to share they were in stitches at the scene. One said: "Nah sorry, James Blunt is actually going to kill me off I cannot stop laughing."
A second said: "James Blunt is cracking me up what is his problem" and a third said: "I can't with James' reactions" while a fourth said: "James Blunt shouting 'MURDER' is making me scream."
More added on X: "This mission is so funny", "Oh this is BRILLIANT wow" and "James Blunt is so brilliant to watch! Hopeless at the game, but brilliant viewing."
Claudia's Reaction and the Final
Claudia turned to the cameras and said: "Am I imagining this or is it actually happening?" The team were successful in the hilarious challenge, adding £5,000 to the prize fund, before spending another tense night around the Round Table.
The final of Celebrity Traitors airs Friday at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
