Strictly Come Dancing contestant Jaime Winstone has been forced to withdraw from this weekend's show due to a torn abdominal muscle. The actress will receive a bye through to next week, when the series travels to Blackpool, in line with the show's rules.
Statement from Jaime Winstone
In a statement shared by Strictly, Winstone said: "I am absolutely devastated not to be dancing this weekend due to a torn abdominal muscle. I am in considerable pain, and my doctors have advised complete rest to give my body the best possible chance to heal."
She added: "As frustrating as it is, I have to put my health first and follow their advice to step away from dancing this week. I love every moment of dancing and performing with Carlos, and I am praying for a speedy recovery so that I can continue this magical journey."
Winstone also thanked fans for their support, saying: "I want to thank everyone for their incredible support so far. It means more than you know. Wishing everyone on the show all the luck, love and strength for Saturday night and I hope to be back on that dance floor very soon. With love, Jaime."
Fan concerns and theories
Fans have expressed concern that the injury could seal the fate of more than one star, including Winstone herself. Some noted that at least she will not have to endure another dance-off this week.
Viewers have also speculated about who could be at risk in the upcoming dance-off. One person suggested: "Jaime will probably leave next week anyway depending on what dance style she gets she's been in the bottom two or three times. I'm worried for Bethany now though."

I was a bit sus the other week when her usual weekly thank you post didn’t say much and was thanking physio the team instead I was like please no other injury.
