Line of Duty Star's 'Addictive' Thriller Hailed 'Brilliant' Now Streaming

Wondering what to binge next over the festive period? Then look no further than this thriller that you might have missed previously and follows in the footsteps of Netflix’s The Beast In Me, Sky’s All Her Fault and The Revenge Club on Paramount+. The British series came out in 2024 and features a stellar cast, including a Line of Duty star, and an intriguing premise.

Audience members have previously praised the series on IMDb. One 9/10 review titled “Creepy and addictive” featured much praise with the viewer explaining: “I love UK shows and this mystery with a twist had me craving more with each passing minute.” They added: “This show is dark, creepy, and brilliant.”

I really enjoyed the sisters characters and how well they played them. Insomnia first aired back on Channel 5 in 2024 and the six-part series was based on the 2022 novel of the same name by author Sarah Pinborough, who was also behind the creepy Netflix hit Behind Her Eyes. The show followed Emma (played by Vicky McClure), who feared she was losing her mind as she approached her 40th birthday.
