I'm A Celebrity 2026 start 'delayed' due to football clash

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans may have to wait a little longer for Ant and Dec to return to the Australian jungle, as the show's launch date has reportedly been pushed back because of a major schedule clash.

The hit ITV reality series is a November television favourite, usually kicking off with a Sunday night launch as a fresh batch of famous faces prepare to swap their everyday comforts for camp life.

Reported New Start Date

Viewers hoping to tune in on November 15 could be in for a surprise, with the opening episode reportedly moved to the following evening. According to The Sun, the 2026 series will now begin on Monday, November 16, at 9pm, after ITV's coverage of the UEFA Nations League created a scheduling headache.

A source told the publication: "I'm A Celeb has always benefited from the Sunday night prime-time slot, but this year it's all change. Now that ITV has the rights to the UEFA Nations League, bosses have had to go back to the drawing board. The show will now start on Monday, November 16 at 9pm."

England vs Spain Clash

England are due to face Spain on Sunday, November 15, at Madrid's Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium, with the match set to be shown on television instead of the jungle launch.

ITV has not officially confirmed the start date or time, meaning fans are still waiting for the broadcaster to make an announcement. The reported change means the usual Sunday night tradition will be broken, with Ant and Dec instead welcoming viewers back to camp at the start of the working week.

Series Milestone and Rumoured Campmates

This year's run will mark the 26th series of the long-running show, which has become one of ITV's biggest entertainment programmes. Over the years, the jungle has welcomed a host of famous faces, including Coleen Rooney, Noel Edmonds, Katie Price and Danny Jones.

Speculation over who could be joining the latest batch of campmates has also been gathering pace, with Wayne Rooney, Jeremy Clarkson and Love Island star Chloe Burrows among the names rumoured to be taking part.

As ever, contestants will face basic rations, uncomfortable sleeping arrangements and a series of stomach-churning Bushtucker Trials as they battle to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle. For now, viewers will have to wait for ITV to confirm exactly when the new series will begin.
