Hollyoaks fans have been left shocked after Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana) appeared to be killed off during Tuesday's (November 3) episode of the Channel 4 soap. The character was shot by police following a dramatic showdown, with his mother Misbah (Harvey Virdi) screaming in devastation as he lost consciousness.
Imran's Revenge Plot Exposed
Imran had become a wanted man after his role in the disappearance of Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) was exposed. Ste was taken against his will from a shopping centre in August, with later scenes confirming that Imran orchestrated the kidnapping after a whirlwind love affair with Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) in LA.
The couple bonded over their shared dislike of Ste, whom they held responsible for destroying various aspects of their lives. However, Cindy was appalled to learn of the lengths Imran had gone to in order to get revenge and urged him to reconsider. When he refused to back down, she sought assistance from Ste's son Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Sienna Blake (Anna Passey), who successfully located the missing man.
The Shooting at the Boat
Ste was reunited with his loved ones during the latest visit to the village, hugging Leela Dexter (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) and Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) in emotional scenes. Lucas, meanwhile, headed to the police station to inform Donny Clark (Louis Emerick) all about Imran's role in the kidnapping, assuring him that evidence of the plans and the room in which he kept Ste prisoner should be on the house boat.
At the boat, Cindy and Misbah pleaded with Imran to see sense, with Misbah reiterating that his actions were no doubt some sort of grief over his father's passing. As armed police arrived at the scene, Imran reached into his jacket, which resulted in a shot being fired. Misbah, traumatised, rushed towards her son and screamed his name as he lost consciousness, leaving viewers to wonder if this is really the end of Imran.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: "I've never particularly been Imran's biggest fan but if they brought him back and villainised him in a revenge plot for Ste (when he was mostly in the right to begin with) just to ultimately kill him off I'll be incredibly annoyed #hollyoaks."
Another added: "What the hell they killed imran! I did not see that coming poor misbah #hollyoaks." A third person said: "If Imran is dead I am shocked they would go there. I feel for Misbah but I do think it will give the actress some great material to work with. I feel this will hit Lucas and Leah hard as well. Also love the bond with Lucas and Leah.
