Hollyoaks: Abigail caught out as allegation reaches Nancy

Abigail Matthews (Brooke Vincent) fears the walls are closing in on her in Hollyoaks next week after an allegation is made, with headteacher Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) summoning her for a meeting.

Hollyoaks High's newest teacher has been grooming local student Dee Dee Hutchinson (Chloe Atkinson) for months, having first crossed paths with her at a rehab facility earlier in the year. Dee Dee, vulnerable in the wake of her mum's death, has come to see Abigail as someone she can confide in and rely on, unaware of her true intentions.

Allegation triggers safeguarding meeting

After Abigail interfered in Dee Dee's relationship with Maddox Keane (Sam Meyer), Dee Dee asked whether Abigail had developed feelings for her. Abigail turned the question back on the teen, asking if she was falling for her, and Dee Dee answered yes.

Later, Abigail invited Dee Dee to a play in Manchester but failed to show up, leaving the teenager with no way of getting back home. Dee Dee remains infatuated with Abigail next week, but Abigail is in for a shock when an allegation prompts Nancy to summon her to her office for a safeguarding meeting.

Beth's allegation stuns Abigail

Shaken and fearing the allegation is about Dee Dee, Abigail is immediately on the defensive during the meeting, only to discover that it is Beth Keane (Rebecca Ryan) who has made the allegation, relating to Maddox following his injury.

Stunned, Abigail does her best to backtrack, but her reaction clearly raises alarm bells for Nancy. Later in the week, Nancy is once again concerned by the way Abigail reacted, leaving viewers to wonder whether Nancy will be the one to uncover the truth about Abigail's manipulation of Dee Dee.

Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4's streaming platform, with episodes airing on TV at 7pm on E4.
