Celebrity Traitors fans were quick to make the same 'ironic' observation as Ross Kemp became the latest victim of the Traitors, except this time the murder was in plain sight.
Those following the spin-off of the hit BBC reality game show were left waiting just shy of a week to find out who Traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny had managed to murder, right in front of the Faithful's faces.
Murder in Plain Sight
During last Friday's (October 16) episode of The Celebrity Traitors, following a dramatic round table which saw Faithful Joe Lycett banished by his fellow players, Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock lightened the mood as she taught comedian Miranda Hart the dance moves to the band's hit Touch.
However, while Miranda was busy dubbing herself "Big Mix", the Traitors were attempting to murder either Jerry Hall or Ross Kemp in plain sight by "boring them to death".
The treacherous trio sprayed perfume from a peacock bottle and then tried to encourage a faithful person to yawn to inhale the perfume and kill them. The episode ended with the clock ticking and the Traitors under pressure as it seemed they were running out of time.
Ross Kemp's Exit Confirmed
It wasn't until week four of The Celebrity Traitors' second-ever series got underway on Thursday (October 22) that it was confirmed that EastEnders legend Ross had fallen victim to the Traitors, after he yawned in front of James and Maya's faces, before James said: "Am I boring you?"
Claudia confirmed to the players that Ross was murdered in plain sight.
After reacting to his murder, Ross declared: "Well played Traitors - but you're always going to be Traitors," before adding: "And I know where you live!" But his exit only left viewers flocking to social media with the same comment.
Fans React to the Irony
@shazzaajade said: "I'm absolutely gutted Ross Kemp has been murdered but there's something quite fitting the man who was paranoid about EVERYTHING was oblivious when he was actually murdered in plain sight #Traitors #CelebrityTraitors."
@Wandoful commented: "How iconic that the one person who was SO paranoid about being murdered in plain sight, ends up being the person murdered in plain sight #CelebrityTraitors."
@elan_fflur cried: "NOOOOOO MY PARANOID KING #CelebrityTraitors." @camruined joked: "He lived, he was perpetually paranoid, he died x #CelebrityTraitors." @CourierBoyUK added: "Just as well they got Ross. He was dead suspicious of the yawning traitors behaviour, he would've sussed them #CelebrityTraitors."
