In the October 21 episode of Emmerdale, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is clearly hiding a secret from his partner Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter). The village GP, generally considered one of the soap's more innocent characters, is acting suspiciously around Chas, leading fans to question whether he is having an affair.
Liam's Suspicious Behaviour
In the pub back room, Chas notices Liam is distracted by something on his phone. When she suggests they spend time together, Liam claims he is too busy with work and needs to attend a conference. When Chas offers to accompany him, Liam oddly tries to convince her the conference would be boring, hoping she will change her mind.
Liam has endured significant loss in his life. His first wife died, his relationships with Bernice and Leyla failed, and his daughter was murdered. Given this history, it seems unlikely he would risk his relationship with Chas.
Upcoming Spoilers
The possibility of Liam cheating increases in upcoming episodes, as Chas spots him exiting his car with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker). Chas is left wanting answers, and viewers will see what Liam has to say next.
