Emmerdale has been more chaotic than ever, with major deaths, big exits, and dramatic returns. A seasoned watcher who hasn't missed an episode since 2001 says the show is at its best when the Dingles, Sugdens, and Tates are centre stage, which is exactly what's happening now. Kim Tate has a secret daughter, Charity Dingle has a not-so-secret daughter, and Belle Dingle's evil husband is being released from prison.
DS Ramsden's Big Secret
Detective Thea Ramsden is Kim Tate's secret daughter, and the drama has been heating up this week. Thea has been interfering in the adoption of Baby Tate by dobbing Kim into social services. She'll stop at nothing to destroy Kim, and things are only going to get more intense. Kim doesn't know Thea's true identity yet, and once she finds out the truth, all hell will break loose.
Thea's dad is still unknown, but the expert's money is on Graham, since he and Kim had a fling back in the day. It would make perfect sense to finally cement him as part of the Tate family.
Sadie's Scheming
Sadie King has her eyes on destroying Caleb and Ruby and will do whatever it takes to make it happen. She's been making a move on Caleb, and although he's rejected her advances so far, she's not giving up. The expert hopes Caleb isn't stupid enough to have another affair, but he has got previous for it.
Sadie also told Cain that she lost their baby, but this is Emmerdale, so the expert is suspicious that this isn't the truth. The baby, who would now be around 20, might show up. Since Sadie is only back for a short stint, the return of her child could tie in with her exit.
Sarah and Charity's Feud
Charity is in the wrong for passing off her baby as Sarah's, but the expert has had enough of Sarah complaining about it. It's soapland; yes, her daughter is actually her aunt, but her Gran nearly went down for murder for something she did, and she's still being ungrateful about it.
The expert liked the relationship between Charity and Sarah before this all kicked off and hopes they make up. A return from Sarah's mum, Debbie Dingle, could bring them together. It makes zero sense that she hasn't been there for everything going on with Sarah, Cain, and Charity. She needs to come back, even if they have to recast the character.
Tom and Belle
Belle Dingle's estranged husband Tom King is getting out of prison. He's been chatting with Charles the Vicar and has convinced him that he's changed, but the expert isn't convinced. Charles and Claudette are no strangers to allowing ex-cons into their home, so Tom might be their next roommate, or his Aunt Nicola may take pity on him and let him move in with her.
Either way, the expert thinks he's coming back to the village and is certain he hasn't changed a bit. Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX.
