In the October 26 episode of Emmerdale, a newcomer confirmed that a murder will take place, revealing the intended victim. Liam Cavanagh and Dylan Penders find themselves in grave danger after a man named Dave arrives at Tenants with cable ties.
Mary's 'Death' Was a Murder Mystery
Earlier in the episode, Paddy Kirk was horrified to find Mary Goskirk lying on the vets table with a knife in her back. Liam and Chas Dingle rushed in to help, but Mary was not actually dead. She was the corpse in a murder mystery created by Chas.
Chas had confronted Liam after convincing herself he was having an affair with Manpreet Sharma. In reality, Liam and Manpreet had been attending a murder mystery event. Liam told Chas he didn't invite her because she isn't good at solving cases, then said she was a rubbish actress. Chas made it clear to Marlon Dingle that she was going to get revenge on Liam.
Dave's Dark Intentions
An enthusiastic Liam began the mission and arrived at Tenants. While pondering a clue, a man called Dave arrived and whipped out cable ties, making it clear he was about to tie Liam up. Liam assumed Dave was part of Chas's game and became bound.
When Dylan Penders entered, it became clear Dave was not there for entertainment. Dave revealed that Dylan previously ratted him out to the police, and now intends to make him pay. Dave warned Dylan and Liam that a murder is going to happen – but it isn't going to be a mystery. Finally realizing his morning had taken a dark turn, Liam understood he was in danger.
Whether anyone will arrive at Tenants to save Liam and Dylan remains to be seen.
