Emmerdale fans baffled by Joe Tate baby pram blunder

Emmerdale viewers were left distracted by a Joe Tate baby blunder during Wednesday's episode (November 4), as his newborn son Will appeared to vanish along with his pram.

Joe (Ned Porteous) became a father for the first time in August when late Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) gave birth to their baby boy. Dawn later died after suffering a massive post-childbirth haemorrhage, which led to a cardiac arrest. Both Joe and Dawn had earlier been involved in a catastrophic car crash on their wedding day, when Jimmy King (Nick Miles) crashed his car into their wedding marquee.

Joe's Struggle and Change of Heart

After his son's birth, Joe spiralled and wanted nothing to do with the newborn, blaming him for Dawn's death. A grief-stricken Joe also decided to give up baby Tate for adoption. Kim Tate (Claire King) and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) were appalled by his decision, and the pair secretly took care of the baby until Joe recently changed his mind.

Now fully invested in his baby, whom he named Will, Joe has been determined to look after his child. In the episode, Joe went for a walk around the village with Billy in his pram.

Fans Spot the Blunder

Joe then came across arch-nemesis Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and hinted he knew that Caleb cheated on his wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) with Sadie King (Patsy Kensit). Wanting to talk in private, the pair headed to Caleb's home.

However, inside the house, fans noticed that baby Will and his pram were nowhere to be seen. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: "I'm going to get accused of nitpicking here but having pushed the baby round the village all day Joe, you forgot about him when you went into Caleb's…"

Another added: "Haha that's what I was thinking. He had William when he said to Caleb "I know something you don't know" and then he was nowhere to be seen." A third viewer wrote: "I was so confused must have just parked the pram randomly outside Caleb's lol." Another fan quipped: "Poor Baby will soon be in the cupboard like the rest of the kids."

Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
